What does a cleaning robot return?
Enter area, cleaning frequency and labour cost. The calculator compares your manual cost with the robot cost. A non-binding worked example you can make concrete with us in a free demo.

Vacuum robots, scrubber-dryers, serving robots.
The calculator reflects the models werob selects vendor-neutrally for cleaning and service: from the agile vacuum robot to the powerful scrubber-dryer to the serving robot. The selection comes from a catalog of more than 280 robots from over 44 manufacturers, including Pudu, Gausium and Unitree.
In a free demo we assess your area, calculate the economics and recommend the right model and pricing model manufacturer-independently: purchase, rental with price guarantee, or flexible rental with no minimum term. Full service with technicians, remote maintenance and spare parts is optional or included.
Which industries this pays off for
Cleaning robots pay off wherever large areas need regular cleaning. werob serves, among others, supermarkets and specialist retail, hotels, warehouses, hospitals, schools, airports, offices, gyms, manufacturing halls, DIY stores, car parks, furniture stores, swimming pools, petrol stations and sports halls.
An example from operation
From our use-case library, the median across deployments through April 2026: a robot wipes the kitchen line and dishroom floor at every shift change, HACCP-logged on each pass, saving around 44,000 euros per year and site. That is a real project with a matched manufacturer, not a worked example.
Data the robot generates
On many of the areas above, sensor and sometimes camera data runs through the cleaning robot. That data is processed within the EU, encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with AES-256. Personal data in video and sensor streams is automatically redacted.
After deployment
Once the robot is running, the werob operations cockpit shows the deployment at use-case level across hardware, infrastructure, regulatory and specification, plus tasks, escalations, an audit log and ready reports. The savings calculated here can then be tracked in live operation, not just in the worked example.
FAQ
- How does werob calculate the ROI of a cleaning robot?
- The calculator compares your manual labour cost (area, cleaning frequency, cleaning rate per hour and hourly wage) with the robot cost (rental including full service). The result is a non-binding worked example based on your inputs.
- How much does a cleaning robot cost per month?
- In a full-service rental model, typical cleaning robots sit in a mid three-figure euro range per month depending on model and area. werob picks the right model manufacturer-independently and gives you the exact price after a short needs assessment.
- Is a cleaning robot worth it?
- It depends on area, cleaning frequency and labour cost. For large areas cleaned regularly, the manual working time saved often covers the robot cost several times over. The calculator shows your individual ratio.
- Does werob offer rental instead of purchase?
- Yes. werob offers purchase, rental with price guarantee and flexible rental with no minimum term. Full service with technicians, remote maintenance and spare parts is optional or included.
- From what area size does this pay off?
- ROI depends on area and frequency, not industry: the larger the area and the more often it's cleaned, the faster the rental pays back against manual labour time. For the full list of industries werob already serves, see the robots page.
- What happens if the robot cannot finish an area completely?
- If a remainder is left, say because a threshold is in the way or a surface needs wet mopping, that remainder goes to the early shift with a location and the remaining scope. werob specifies this fallback path per site before the first deployment.
