For universities
Train on the systems that put service robots into production today.
Last updated 26 May 2026
werob partners with technical universities to give students and faculty hands-on access to the platform that puts service robots into production today: hardware-neutral, from specification to live operation.
For students
Operators and integrators expect new hires to understand modern robotics workflows. werob gives students hands-on experience with a professional-grade platform.
Deployment-ready skills
Access to the same platform integration teams use to put robots into production across senior care, hospitality, security and facility services: from specification through to the operations cockpit.
Hardware-neutral integration
Write specifications, evaluate hardware and compare requirements across multiple OEMs.
Traceability
Every decision traces back to a specification, a standard or a data source. Verification becomes a habit.
Portfolio-ready projects
Students build genuine deployment projects and produce documentation that demonstrates real practical experience to employers.
For faculty
A professional-grade platform brings the tools industry actually uses into the classroom.
Case-study integration
Embed werob in project and lab courses; students work through realistic scenarios with professional tools.
Multiple disciplines in one environment
Teach mechanical, controls, safety and operations within a single platform, reflecting how modern deployment practice works.
Assessment-ready outputs
Students produce structured, traceable outputs that can be graded against professional standards.
Research
Analyse integration and operations data in a structured way: on specification quality, application patterns and deployment risk.
Hands-on
- Turn a plain-language specification into a deployable plan (Spec Engine).
- Generate an integration and compliance plan for a concrete use case.
- Work across disciplines in a shared workspace.

Frequently asked questions
- How do students get access to werob?
- Students at a partner institution receive access through their university e-mail address. Account provisioning is coordinated by the supervising faculty member together with the werob team.
- Which programmes is werob suitable for?
- Robotics, mechatronics, automation engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and industrial engineering. werob works in introductory courses (demonstration) as well as project and advanced modules (hands-on).
- How does faculty onboarding work?
- There is a dedicated onboarding session, course-integration guides and sample materials. The werob team tailors the integration to your syllabus and assessment format.
- Can werob be used for academic research?
- Yes. Faculty and doctoral researchers can analyse integration and operations data in a structured way, for example on specification quality, application patterns and deployment risk.
- What happens to the university's data?
- Content and projects remain private to the institution and are never used to train models. The same security and data-protection principles apply as to every werob customer.
